Lenovo ThinkPad L490

A Core i7 ThinkPad at a mid-range price

The Lenovo ThinkPad L490 is a 14 inch business laptop with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565U, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. It is an older platform, which is why you get a Core i7 and a classic ThinkPad build for the price of many entry-level laptops.

It sits in our business laptops range and suits office staff, field teams and students who want something tough.

Performance

The Core i7-8565U has 4 cores and 8 threads and boosts up to 4.6GHz. It handles office suites, browsers, accounting software and video calls well. The memory sits in standard slots, so adding more later is easy and affordable.

Ports and build

You get USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, a full-size Ethernet port, a card reader and a headphone jack. The keyboard is spill resistant and the TrackPoint and buttons are there for anyone who prefers them.

Full details are in the Additional information tab below and on Lenovo’s specification page.
