One small charger for iPhone, iPad and MacBook Air
The Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max is Apple’s newest USB-C charger. It normally delivers up to 40W, and it can boost to 60W when the connected device can use it. That makes one compact adapter enough for fast charging an iPhone, charging an iPad at full speed, or powering a MacBook Air.
It has a single USB-C port and a UK three pin plug that fits Kenyan wall sockets without a travel adapter. Browse more chargers in our range.
How fast it charges
Apple says it fast charges recent iPhone models to around 50% in about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the model. On iPhone 17 models Apple quotes 50% in about 20 minutes with a high wattage adapter like this one. It also charges iPad Pro and iPad Air at their full speed and runs a MacBook Air while charging it. Full details are on Apple’s product page.
Which devices it works with
- iPhone 15 and later over USB-C, and earlier iPhones with a USB-C to Lightning cable
- iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad and iPad mini with USB-C
- MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro for light top-ups
- AirPods cases and Apple Watch, with the right cable
Any USB-C device that supports USB Power Delivery will charge from it, including many Android phones and tablets.
What you need with it
No cable is included. Use the Apple USB-C 60W Charge Cable for iPhone, iPad and Mac, or the Apple Watch Magnetic Fast Charger for your watch.
Why a genuine Apple adapter
Counterfeit Apple chargers are widely sold in Kenya and many skip the protection Apple builds in against overheating, over voltage and short circuits. Power surges and outages already put strain on electronics, so a well-built adapter protects your phone and laptop. The genuine adapter also negotiates the correct power with each device, so fast charging works as it should.
Who it suits
It suits anyone who wants one charger for several Apple devices, people replacing an older 5W or 20W adapter, and travellers who want to carry one plug instead of three. For a smaller, lower cost option for iPhone only, see the Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter.
Frequently asked questions

No. Use a USB-C cable such as the Apple USB-C 60W Charge Cable.

Yes. It has a UK three pin plug.
