Key takeaways
- iCloud+ now includes Apple TV and Apple Arcade, starting at US$0.99 a month for 50GB.
- Apple says the bundle covers more than 100 countries, while Apple TV itself now reaches 170 countries.
- Tech-ish counts 102 countries in the deal, 40 of them in Africa.
- Every iCloud+ plan can be shared with up to five other people through Family Sharing.
What changed for Apple TV in Kenya?
Apple TV and Apple Arcade stopped being separate subscriptions here and moved inside iCloud+. In other words, the storage plan you pay for now also covers Apple’s streaming service and its games.
Apple’s Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Services and Health, said: “We’re excited to bring Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ users in over 100 countries in one convenient subscription.” Existing standalone subscriptions end, but access carries on through iCloud+, and Arcade game saves stay.
How much is Apple TV in Kenya?
The service costs nothing extra on any iCloud+ plan. However, Apple bills Kenyan accounts in US dollars. Tech-ish lists the tiers with rough shilling figures:
| iCloud+ plan | Price (USD a month) | About (KES) |
|---|---|---|
| 50GB | $0.99 | 128 |
| 200GB | $3.49 | 452 |
| 2TB | $11.99 | 1,552 |
| 6TB | $34.99 | 4,529 |
| 12TB | $69.99 | 9,060 |
For comparison, Tech-ish notes the service costs $14.99 a month on its own in the US. Also, you need a card that clears Apple’s billing.
What can you watch?
Mainly, you get Apple’s own shows and films, such as Ted Lasso, Severance, Slow Horses, Silo, The Studio and the F1 film. In addition, Techweez reports that Apple TV won 28 Emmys in 2026, the most of any studio.
Do you need an Apple TV box?
No, because the streaming service is different from the Apple TV 4K box, as K24 explains. In fact, the Apple TV app runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, smart TVs, game consoles and the web at tv.apple.com, according to Apple.
So the phone or laptop you already own is enough. For example, the iPhone 17 costs KES 120,000 at Encom, while the iPhone 18 Pro costs KES 210,100. On a bigger screen, the MacBook Neo costs KES 102,300 and the MacBook Air M5 costs KES 196,400. Of course, all prices exclude VAT. However, we do not sell the Apple TV 4K box.
How to get it on your iPhone
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Then go to Subscriptions and choose an iCloud+ plan.
- After that, open the Apple TV app and sign in with the same Apple Account.
