An 11 inch Lenovo tablet for school and home, with the pen and a cover in the box
The Lenovo Idea Tab is an 11 inch Android tablet with a sharp 2.5K screen, four Dolby Atmos speakers and a metal body. We sell it in two bundles, both with the Lenovo Tab Pen. The 8GB and 128GB version comes with a folio case that doubles as a stand. The 8GB and 256GB version comes with a keyboard, so it can stand in for a small laptop for typing assignments and emails.

What you get
11 inch 2.5K screen at 90Hz
The IPS screen runs at 2560 x 1600 in a 16:10 shape, with a 90Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. Text is crisp enough for long reading sessions, and the wider shape suits video and split-screen apps. The 90Hz refresh makes scrolling through notes and web pages smoother than on most budget tablets.
MediaTek Dimensity 6300 with 8GB RAM
The Dimensity 6300 is an efficient eight-core chip. With 8GB of RAM it handles Google Classroom, Zoom, YouTube, Office apps and light games comfortably. It is not built for heavy 3D gaming or video editing. If you want more power and a bigger screen, look at the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus.
128GB or 256GB storage, plus microSD
Both bundles have a microSD slot that takes cards up to 2TB, so you can add space for downloaded films, textbooks and offline lessons.
Lenovo Tab Pen
The pen supports 4,096 pressure levels, tilt and palm rejection, so you can rest your hand on the screen while you write. It is good for handwritten notes, maths working, annotating PDFs and simple drawing.
Folio case or keyboard
The 128GB bundle includes a folio case that protects the screen and folds into a stand for watching or typing on screen. The 256GB bundle includes a keyboard that connects through the tablet’s pogo pins, so there is no Bluetooth pairing and no separate battery to charge.
Sound, cameras and battery
Four speakers tuned for Dolby Atmos give clear sound for lessons and films. There is an 8MP rear camera for scanning pages and a 5MP front camera for video calls and face unlock. The 7,040mAh battery is rated by Lenovo for up to 12 hours of video streaming and charges over USB-C at up to 20W.
Build and connectivity
The body is metal, 6.99mm thin, and weighs about 480g. It has an IP52 rating for light splashes and dust, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. It runs Android 15.
Who it suits
The Idea Tab suits secondary school and university students, parents buying a first tablet for a child’s schoolwork, and adults who want a comfortable screen for reading, video calls and streaming. The keyboard bundle is the better pick for anyone who types assignments or long emails. If you need Windows software such as full Excel or school exam software, choose a laptop instead.
How it compares
The Idea Tab Plus has a bigger 12.1 inch screen, a faster Dimensity 6400 chip, 12GB of RAM and a larger battery with 45W charging. For a laptop at a similar budget, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 14IRH8 runs full Windows. Full product details are on Lenovo’s official site.
Looking after it
Keep the tablet in its folio or keyboard cover when it goes into a school bag. Charge from a surge-protected socket. Clip the pen to the case or keep it in a pencil case, since pens are the easiest part to lose.
Works well with
The UGREEN 240W USB-C cable makes a sturdy spare charging cable. A 25W USB-C adapter charges it at full speed, and the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S works with it over Bluetooth for document work.
