The Lenovo ThinkPad P52s is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation. It pairs an Intel Core i7-8550U with NVIDIA Quadro P500 professional graphics, 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, in a body only a little thicker than a normal business laptop.

Why Quadro graphics matter

Quadro cards use drivers that are tested and certified with professional software, so programs like AutoCAD and SolidWorks behave as expected. The P500 is an entry-level workstation GPU: right for 2D drafting and moderate 3D models, not for heavy rendering or gaming.

Performance

The Core i7-8550U has 4 cores and 8 threads and boosts up to 4.0GHz. With 16GB of memory you can keep a large drawing, a browser full of references and Outlook open together.

Ports and build

You get Thunderbolt 3, USB-A, HDMI, Ethernet, a card reader and a headphone jack. The keyboard has a number pad and is spill resistant.
