This Security Lock Case is a silicone cover for the charging case of the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro. It does two jobs. The soft silicone cushions the charging case against drops and scratches, and the lock clasp keeps the lid shut, so your earbuds do not spill out in a handbag, a backpack or a jacket pocket. Losing one earbud is an expensive problem, and this is a cheap way to prevent it.

What the Security Lock Case does

A lock that keeps the lid closed

The Buds3 charging case opens easily, which is convenient until it pops open in a bag full of keys, coins and pens. The lock clasp on this cover holds the lid shut until you release it. That protects the earbuds from falling out, and keeps dust and fluff out of the charging contacts.

Soft, shock-absorbing silicone

The cover is made from soft silicone that absorbs knocks if you drop the case on a tiled floor or a pavement. It also stops the charging case getting scratched when it shares a pocket with your phone or keys, which helps if you plan to sell or trade in your earbuds later.

Charging stays easy

There is an opening for the USB-C port, so you can charge the earbuds case without taking the cover off. Just plug in a USB-C cable as normal.

Compatibility

This cover fits the charging case of the Galaxy Buds3 and the Galaxy Buds3 Pro, which share the same case shape. It does not fit older Galaxy Buds, such as the Buds2, Buds2 Pro or Buds FE, or other earbuds. Setting it up

Close the lid of your charging case. Slide the case into the silicone cover from the bottom, easing the silicone over the edges until the USB-C opening lines up with the port. Check that the lid opens and closes freely, then close the lock clasp. If your case charges wirelessly and does not start charging with the cover on, take the cover off to charge.

Who it suits

This cover suits Buds3 and Buds3 Pro owners who carry their earbuds loose in a bag or pocket, commuters, students, and anyone who has already dropped or nearly lost an earbud. It is less suited to people who want the slimmest possible case, or who prefer to open the lid with one quick flick, because the lock adds a step.

Looking after it

Take the cover off now and then and wash it in warm water with a little mild soap, then dry it completely before refitting it. Silicone attracts lint, so a quick wipe keeps it looking clean. Do not stretch the lock clasp further than it needs to go. Keep the cover away from strong heat, such as a car dashboard in the sun.
