The biggest iPhone 17, with the longest battery life
The Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max is the largest model in Apple’s 2025 range. It has a 6.9 inch screen and the biggest battery in the iPhone 17 line-up, so it is the one to choose if you film a lot, travel often or simply want to get through a long day without a charger. Like the 17 Pro, it uses an aluminium unibody with a vapour chamber inside to stay cool under heavy use.
We sell it in 256GB and 512GB. It sits in our iPhones range.
Display and performance
The 6.9 inch Super Retina XDR screen has ProMotion up to 120Hz, an always-on mode and peak outdoor brightness of up to 3000 nits. The large screen makes it comfortable for reading documents, editing photos and watching video. The A19 Pro chip runs games, video editing and Apple Intelligence on the device.
Cameras
All three rear cameras are 48MP: main, ultra wide and a telephoto with up to 8x optical-quality zoom. The 18MP Center Stage front camera keeps you framed on video calls. It records 4K Dolby Vision video, which makes it a strong choice for content creators and small businesses that shoot their own marketing.
SIM, network and charging
This version takes a Nano-SIM and an eSIM, so you can keep your current line and add a second number. It supports 5G and charges over USB-C. Apple includes a cable but no adapter, so add the Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter if you need one.
Full specifications are on Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro page.
