Dell Latitude 5350

A light 13.3 inch Dell business laptop with Intel Core Ultra

The Dell Latitude 5350 is the 2024 update to Dell’s 13.3 inch mid-range business laptop. It moves to Intel Core Ultra processors, which add a built-in NPU for AI features, and keeps the light 1.23kg body with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports and HDMI. It comes in four configurations here: an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U or a Core Ultra 7 165U, each with Ubuntu Linux or with Windows 11 installed by us. All four have 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and a 13.3 inch Full HD screen.

It is part of our range of business laptops.

What you get

Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7

Both chips have 12 cores and 14 threads, mixing performance cores, efficient cores and two low-power cores that handle light background work to save battery. The Core Ultra 5 125U boosts up to 4.3GHz and is the right pick for Office, browser systems, accounting software and video calls. The Core Ultra 7 165U boosts up to 4.9GHz and adds Intel vPro Enterprise, which lets company IT teams manage and secure laptops remotely.

A built-in NPU

Both processors include an Intel AI Boost NPU. It takes on tasks like background blur and noise removal in video calls without loading the main processor, and more apps are starting to use it. It is not a Copilot+ PC, so some newer Windows AI features are not available.

16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD

The 16GB of fast LPDDR5x memory is soldered to the board, so it cannot be upgraded later. It is enough for a full office day with many apps open. The 512GB NVMe SSD keeps start-up and file opening quick.

13.3 inch Full HD screen

The 1920 x 1080 anti-glare IPS screen is clear for documents and email. It is a compact screen, so most people pair it with an external monitor at the desk.

Thunderbolt 4 and ports

You get two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports for charging, displays and docks, two USB-A ports for a mouse or flash drive, an HDMI 2.1 port and a headset jack. There is no Ethernet port or card reader, so use a USB-C dock or adapter for a wired network.

Wireless, webcam and security

Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are built in, with a Full HD webcam and microphones. B&H lists a fingerprint reader and a TPM chip on this model. Ask us if you need a backlit keyboard or other options confirmed on your unit.

Size and weight

It weighs about 1.23kg and measures about 30.6 x 20.8cm and under 2cm thick, so it slides into a small bag. It charges over USB-C.

Who it suits

The Latitude 5350 suits managers, consultants, sales teams and NGO staff who travel often and want a current-generation laptop that will stay fast for years. The Core Ultra 7 suits company fleets that use vPro and people who run heavier workloads. If you sit at one desk all day, a 14 inch model such as the Dell Latitude 5450 gives you a bigger screen and keyboard.

Operating system

Choose the version you want when you order. The Ubuntu Linux versions ship with Ubuntu, a free and stable system that runs LibreOffice, Chrome, Zoom and most web-based business tools. For the Windows versions, we install Windows 11 on it before delivery. If you would rather run a different operating system, tell us when you order.

How it compares

The Dell Latitude 5340 is the previous model with a 13th Gen Core i5 and costs less. The Dell Latitude 5450 uses the same Core Ultra chips in a 14 inch body. For Dell’s premium build, look at the Dell Latitude 7450. From HP, the HP EliteBook 830 G11 x360 is a 13.3 inch rival with a fold-back touchscreen.

Full product details are on Dell’s official site.

Looking after it

Use a surge protector or a UPS where power cuts and voltage swings are common. Keep the vents clear by working on a hard surface rather than a bed or sofa, and carry it in a padded sleeve. If it sits on a dock most of the day, Dell’s power settings let you limit charging so the battery lasts longer. Clean the keyboard with a soft brush and the screen with a dry microfibre cloth.

Works well with

The Logitech MX Anywhere 3S is a compact mouse made for travel. The Logitech MX Keys Mini gives you a backlit keyboard at the desk, and the UGREEN Metallic Foldable Laptop Stand lifts the screen to eye level.
