A full-size wireless mouse for bigger hands and long workdays
The Logitech M190 is what you buy when a small travel mouse leaves your hand cramped by lunchtime. It is a full-size wireless mouse with a wider body, more room for your palm and a large scroll wheel, yet it keeps the simple setup of Logitech’s budget mice: one USB receiver and one AA battery. It costs a little more than the compact models, and the extra size is what you are paying for.
It sits in our mice and keyboards range with the smaller Logitech mice it is often compared with.
Why the size makes a difference
Room for the whole hand
The M190 measures about 115.4 mm long, 66.1 mm wide and 40.3 mm high. Compared with the compact M171, it is about 18 mm longer and 5 mm taller. In the hand, that means your palm rests on the mouse instead of hovering behind it. Logitech designs it for medium to large hands, and it adds palm support for that reason. If you spend the day in spreadsheets, accounting software or email, that support makes long hours noticeably more comfortable.
Scooped buttons and a wide wheel
The two main buttons are scooped, so your fingers settle in the same place every time. The scroll wheel is wide with a patterned grip, and it scrolls line by line for precise movement through long pages.
Up to 18 months per battery
Logitech rates the M190 at up to 18 months on one AA battery, longer than the 12 months it quotes for the M170, M171 and M185. A power-saving mode kicks in when the mouse is not in use, which helps the battery go the distance.
Plug-and-play receiver
It connects through a USB nano receiver over 2.4 GHz wireless, with a range of up to 10 metres according to Logitech. The 1,000 DPI optical sensor tracks well on most desks and mouse pads.
Ambidextrous despite the size
Many full-size mice are shaped only for the right hand. The M190 is symmetrical, so left-handed users get the same comfort.
Compatibility
The M190 works with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Linux. The receiver is USB-A, so it fits most desktops and many business laptops, such as the Dell Latitude 5550, directly. USB-C-only laptops need an adapter or hub. It has no Bluetooth.
Setting it up
Plug the receiver into a USB port and switch the mouse on. It connects in a few seconds with nothing to install. The battery is included.
Which colour
We stock the M190 in Charcoal and Mid Grey, both at the same price. Charcoal is a dark, almost black shade that hides wear well. Mid Grey is lighter and suits a brighter desk setup. The photos show Charcoal. Choose your colour from the options above.
Who it suits
The M190 suits people with medium to large hands, desk workers who use a mouse all day, and offices that want fewer battery changes. It is too big for people who want a mouse to throw in a small laptop bag, and it has no extra buttons for designers or gamers.
How it compares
If your hands are smaller or you travel a lot, the Logitech M171 and the grey Logitech M170 are the compact choices and cost less. The Logitech M185 sits between them in size. For the same 18-month battery rating with quiet clicks, the Logitech M221 Silent is the one to look at, though it is a compact mouse.

Looking after it
Wipe the body and wheel with a slightly damp cloth, since the patterned wheel can collect grime. Keep the sensor window clean. If you will be away from your desk for a long holiday, take the battery out. When the pointer starts lagging, replace the battery.
