Microsoft 365 Family (6 Users, 1 Year)

Office apps, 1 TB of cloud storage and security for up to six people

Microsoft 365 Family is a one-year subscription that gives up to six people their own access to the full Microsoft Office apps, 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage each and Microsoft Defender security. Each person signs in with their own Microsoft account, so their files, email and settings stay private. It is the most cost-effective way for a family, or a small team of up to six, to get genuine, always up to date Office.

What you get

The full Office apps

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote, installed on your devices rather than only in a browser, so you can work offline. You get every new feature and security update as Microsoft releases it, so you never have to buy a new version of Office again while your subscription is active. Clipchamp is included for simple video editing.

Works on all your devices

Each person can install the apps on Windows PCs, Macs, iPhones, iPads and Android phones and tablets, and be signed in on up to five devices at the same time. That covers a laptop for work, a desktop at home, a phone and a tablet with room to spare.

1 TB of OneDrive storage per person

That is 6 TB across six people. Save documents and photos to OneDrive and they are backed up and available from any device. If a laptop is stolen or its drive fails, your files are still safe in the cloud. Each person’s storage is private to them.

Microsoft Defender

Defender helps protect your devices and data, with alerts and security tips across your devices from one app. For deeper protection on a PC, pair it with a dedicated antivirus such as Kaspersky Plus.

Copilot features

Microsoft has added Copilot AI features to Microsoft 365 Family, which can help draft documents, summarise email and build presentations. What is included, and who on the subscription can use it, depends on Microsoft’s current terms.

Who it suits

It suits families with children in school or university, couples who both need Office, and small teams of up to six people who want genuine Office without paying for business plans. If only one person needs Office, a single-user subscription costs less. For businesses that need company email on their own domain and admin controls, a Microsoft 365 Business plan is the better fit, and we can advise.

About this version

This is the Africa edition, supplied as a product key card with no disc. You download the apps from Microsoft after activating. It must be activated in Africa. It is a 12-month subscription. If you already have Microsoft 365, entering this key adds a year to your current subscription.
