Kaspersky Plus is the middle plan in Kaspersky’s home range and the one most people should look at first. It includes all the protection in Kaspersky Standard and adds three privacy tools that people now use every day: an unlimited VPN, a premium password manager and a data leak checker. One licence covers a mix of Windows PCs, Macs, Android devices and iPhones.

What you get

Kaspersky’s full antivirus protection

Real-time antivirus blocks viruses, ransomware, spyware and cryptojackers. Safe browsing and anti-phishing stop fake bank, courier and social media pages before they load. Online payment protection opens banking and payment sites in a protected browser that other programs cannot read.

Unlimited VPN

The VPN encrypts your connection, so people on the same network cannot see what you do. That matters on hotel, airport, cafe and conference Wi-Fi, where your traffic is easy to intercept. There is no data cap, so you can leave it on all day. Kaspersky notes that VPN availability can vary by country.

Premium password manager

Store all your passwords, card details and important notes in an encrypted vault that syncs across your phone and computers. It creates strong, unique passwords for each site and fills them in for you, so you no longer reuse the same password everywhere.

Data leak checker

Kaspersky checks whether the email addresses linked to your accounts have appeared in known data breaches, and tells you which accounts to secure first.

Which pack should you buy?

Count every laptop, desktop, Mac, phone and tablet you want covered. Two people with a phone and a laptop each need the 5 device pack, which leaves room for one more. Families and small offices with many devices save the most with the 10 device pack. The 1, 3 and 5 device packs are boxed licences. The 10 device pack is a digital key sent by email.

Who it suits

Kaspersky Plus suits people who travel, work from cafes or hotels, or manage many online accounts: consultants, sales teams, students and anyone who uses public Wi-Fi. If you only need antivirus, Kaspersky Standard costs less.

How it compares

Over Standard, Plus adds the unlimited VPN, the premium password manager and the data leak checker. Kaspersky Premium adds identity protection and priority remote IT support. Installing and activating

Create a free My Kaspersky account, install the Kaspersky app on each device and enter your activation code. The VPN and password manager are set up from the same app. Remove other antivirus software from a PC before installing. We can install it for you at our shop.

System requirements

Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 or 7 SP1; a recent macOS version; Android 11 or later; a recent iOS version. An internet connection and a My Kaspersky account are needed. Some features are more limited on iPhone because of Apple’s restrictions.
