Quick Heal Internet Security

Antivirus plus a firewall, safe banking and parental controls for Windows PCs

Quick Heal Internet Security is the middle edition in Quick Heal’s range, and the one we recommend for most homes and small offices that bank, shop or file returns online. It has all the protection in AntiVirus Pro and adds the tools that matter once money and personal data pass through the PC: a firewall, a protected browser for banking, webcam protection, tracker blocking and parental controls.

What you get

Real-time antivirus and anti-ransomware

Files are scanned as you open, download or copy them, including from flash disks and network drives. Behaviour-based detection catches new threats that have no signature yet. If ransomware starts encrypting your documents, Quick Heal stops it, and its backup and restore feature lets you recover files instead of paying a ransom.

Firewall

The firewall watches traffic going in and out of the PC and blocks connections that should not be there. This matters on shared office networks and public Wi-Fi in cafes, hotels and airports, where other machines on the same network can try to reach yours.

Safe Banking

Safe Banking opens your online banking and payment sites in a protected session that other programs cannot spy on. It guards against keyloggers and fake pages that try to capture your login details, card numbers or one-time PINs. Use it for internet banking, card payments and supplier portals.

Phishing and email protection

Fake websites dressed up as banks, KRA, courier companies or Microsoft are blocked before they load. Incoming email and attachments are scanned, so an infected invoice is caught before someone in accounts opens it.

Webcam protection and anti-tracker

Webcam protection stops unknown apps from switching on your camera. The anti-tracker blocks the scripts that follow you from site to site collecting data about what you browse.

Parental control

Set what children can see and when. You can block categories of websites and inappropriate content and limit screen time, which helps on a family PC used for homework.

Wi-Fi scanner and dark web monitoring

The Wi-Fi scanner checks your network and router for weak passwords and security gaps. Dark web monitoring looks for your email address or phone number in leaked data and alerts you so you can change passwords.

Which pack should you buy?

Count the Windows PCs you want to protect. One user means one PC. A home with two laptops needs the 2 user pack, and a small office with five desktops needs the 5 user pack, which costs much less per PC than single licences. For more than five PCs, combine packs or ask us for bulk pricing.

Who it suits

Internet Security suits families, freelancers and small businesses that pay bills, bank and shop online from their PCs, and parents who want control over what children see. If your PCs are only used offline for typing and printing, Quick Heal AntiVirus Pro is enough.

How it compares

Compared with AntiVirus Pro, Internet Security adds the firewall, Safe Banking, webcam protection, anti-tracker, parental control and Wi-Fi scanner. Quick Heal Total Security goes further with scam link and fraud protection, blocking data from being copied to USB drives, an encrypted file vault and PC tuning tools. If you also need to protect phones or Macs, look at Kaspersky Plus. Full details are on Quick Heal’s official site.

Installing and activating

You receive a licence key. Download the installer from Quick Heal’s website, enter the key and the software activates over the internet. Uninstall any other antivirus first. We can install it for you at our shop, or when you buy a new laptop or desktop from us.

System requirements

Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 or 7, an internet connection for activation and updates, and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768. 4 GB of RAM is recommended. It does not run on macOS or Android.

Works well with

Set up a new laptop or desktop with protection from day one, and keep a second copy of your files on an external drive from our memory and storage range.

Frequently asked questions

Does Windows already have a firewall?

Yes, but Quick Heal’s firewall works together with its antivirus and intrusion protection and is easier to manage from one screen.

Does Safe Banking work with any bank?

Yes. It protects the browser session, so it works with any online banking or payment site.

Can I install it on a Mac?

No. It is for Windows PCs only.

Can I upgrade from AntiVirus Pro later?

Yes. Buy an Internet Security key and enter it in your Quick Heal software, or reinstall with the new key.

Will it slow my PC down?

It is designed to run lightly, and a game booster reduces background activity when you need full performance. Very old PCs with 2 GB of RAM may feel slower.

What happens when the licence ends?

Updates stop. Renew before the end date to stay protected.
