A 2-in-1 with H-series power

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14IRH9 folds a full 360 degrees, so it works as a normal laptop, a tablet, or a tent for watching and presenting. What sets this version apart is the Intel Core i5-13420H, an H-series chip with 8 cores and 12 threads that boosts up to 4.6GHz. It has more headroom than the low-power U-series chips found in most 2-in-1s, which helps when you run many browser tabs, large spreadsheets or light photo editing.

Screen and pen

The 14 inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) touchscreen uses a 16:10 shape, so you see more of a page before scrolling. It supports the Lenovo Digital Pen 2 with 4,096 pressure levels for notes and sketching. The pen is sold separately.

Things to know before you buy

The 8GB of LPDDR5 memory is soldered to the board, so it cannot be upgraded later. The SSD sits in a standard M.2 slot. For everyday work, school and Microsoft 365, 8GB is fine. If you plan to keep many heavy apps open at once, ask us about the 16GB alternatives.

Ports and battery

You get two USB-C ports (10Gbps, with charging and display out), two USB-A ports (one stays powered when the laptop is off), HDMI, a microSD card reader and a headphone jack. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 cover wireless. The 57Wh battery supports Rapid Charge Boost: about 15 minutes of charging with the laptop off gives roughly 2 hours of use. A UGREEN 240W USB-C cable makes a handy spare for charging from a power bank.

Does it come with a pen?

No. It supports the Lenovo Digital Pen 2, sold separately.
